WinXP: State of the Art?
If you guessed I had given up on writing… wrong!
If you guessed that Microsoft sucks, or Windows sucks, or Bill Gates sucks, or that spammers suck, or that the whole state of personal computing sucks… you would be pretty much on target. I have been effectively without a computer for over two weeks now.
I am so sick and tired of Microsoft and their crap products that I am looking in to a large ammonium nitrate purchase…. er, just kidding of course. I know, I know, that’s not even funny to kid around about. (Yeah, right.) So you FBI guys stay the fuck away unless you know how to correct the random BSoD issues that seem to be rampant with Microsoft Windows XP. Check out some of the forums threads relating to STOP crashes and marvel at how much time and money people are having to spend to correct this BS. The one from annoyances.org is a good summary at what it takes to troubleshoot this problem.
HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM! I AM GOING CRAZY! I am having the same set of errors, for a reason I am not aware of. And it’s nothing specific, it just does it in the middle of anything! I updated everyfile about my mainboard, updated BIOS, downloaded latest Intel files NOTHING fixes it! I even formatted the whole hard-disk and installed Xp all over again it keeps doing it. I bought new fans, PC cooler. I cleaned all my hardware. No luck at all. I know one thing for certain though, these problems started when I changed my motherboard to MSI (MS-6528 Intel 845 Chipset). I have Sound Blaster Live! sound card And GeForce Ti4400 display. It also seems to me like everyone who has this problem owns an Nvidia GeForce, I hope it has nothing to do with that. I am even typing this reply as fast as I can because I really don’t know when the system is gonna crash! HEEEEEEEEEELP!!!
Anyway, I doubt that my problems are over. The stability of Microsoft products has never wavered in the twenty years since Windows 3.1 debuted. It was a shitty product then and it is a shitty product now. And let’s not even go in to the security issues. Microsoft simply does not have the ability to make a stable, secure operating system. Period.
The fact that I was able to complete this post is quite astonishing.
